Short Story

To procure the equipment necessary for this project, I initiated a crowdfunding campaign with a funding goal of $5,810.46. This budget will be dedicated to building our Cine Camera Kit, instrumental in capturing the animated previsualization and the final live-action scenes. Instead of using Kickstarter or other services, I set up my own via WordPress (more on that in future posts).

I looked for gear and setup that would give me the best image quality for the price that is compact and can grow with me. Here’s the detailed breakdown of the required gear and their costs:

  1. Panasonic Lumix S5 IIX Mirrorless Camera: $2,197.99
  2. Panasonic Lumix S 24-105mm f/4 Macro O.I.S. Lens: $1,297.99
  3. Sirui 35mm T2.9 1.6x Full-Frame Anamorphic Lens (Leica L): $1,499.00
  4. Kondor Blue Camera Cage for Panasonic Lumix S5II/X (Raven Black): $195.00
  5. Kondor Blue PRO-BLADE SSD Recording Handle (Raven Black): $199.00
  6. SanDisk Professional 2TB PRO-BLADE SSD Mag: $179.99
  7. Panasonic DMW-BLK22 Lithium-Ion Battery (7.2V, 2200mAh): $67.50
  8. Tiffen 82mm Variable Neutral Density Filter: $173.99 Total: $5,810.46

Each contribution, regardless of its size, brings us one step closer to realizing this vision. For that, I extend my deepest gratitude. Throughout this filmmaking journey, I’ll be sharing updates, hurdles, and triumphs on my blog and YouTube channel, inviting you all to experience this journey alongside me.
