Our local film group the Arkansas Cinema Society hosted a writing and directing workshop with Craig Brewer. Craig wrote and directed Hustle And Flow, Black Snake Moan as well as directing Dolemite is My Name, Coming To America 2 and the Footloose remake. He had great insights on script writing, and shared his writing process. At one point he mentioned that today everyone’s phone is better quality than the most the cameras when he started, and there is no excuses to start shooting your movie.
I got a new DJI Action 4 at work and I thought maybe I should just shoot my film on this.
